Both of our music teachers have had a love for music since they were young and enjoy sharing that love of music with their students.

Mr. Scott Moilanen, our band instructor, is a member of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. He serves on the faculty at the JSO’s School of Music and also as the Trinity Lutheran Ministries Music Director.

Mrs. Elizabeth Valente, is our choir director and our 7th and 8th grade teacher. Mrs. Valente minored in music with voice as her primary instrument and she also serves as a vocalist on the Trinity Lutheran Church’s worship team.

Trinity offers both beginning and advanced band, as well as choir. Our advanced band and choir participate in the Lutheran music festival at Concordia University in Ann Arbor.

Members have the opportunity to perform during worship services at Trinity, as well as in two school concerts each year. Both groups perform secular and sacred pieces.
